Meetings

SSH Bridge Meetings lets members and experts hold video calls without leaving their collaboration workflow. Meetings open in a separate browser tab, so you can continue using Projects, Messages, and the rest of SSH Bridge while the call stays connected.

Open the Meetings Page

Select Meetings in the sidebar. The page organizes meetings into four views:

  • Active — Meetings that can be joined now.
  • Upcoming — Meetings scheduled for a future date and time.
  • History — Meetings that have ended or were cancelled.
  • All — Every meeting available to your account.

Start a Meeting Now

  1. Open Meetings from the sidebar.
  2. Click Create meeting, then choose Start now.
  3. Enter a meeting title.
  4. Use the Members and Experts tabs to select the people you want to invite.
  5. Click Start meeting.

The meeting opens in a separate tab. Only the organizer and selected invitees can see and access a meeting created this way.

Start a Meeting from a Project

  1. Open Projects and select a project.
  2. Click Start meeting.
  3. Allow camera and microphone access when your browser asks.

A project meeting is visible only to active members of that project. Project membership is checked again when someone tries to open the meeting.

Start a Video Call from Messages

  1. Open Messages and select a conversation.
  2. Click the video-call button in the conversation header.
  3. The call opens in a separate tab and becomes available to the conversation participants.

Join or Return to a Meeting

When someone invites you, the meeting appears on your Meetings page. Click Join meeting to open it. After you have joined, the action changes to Return to meeting; selecting it focuses the existing meeting tab when it is still open. If you closed that tab, use the meeting action to open it again.

An upcoming meeting cannot be joined before its scheduled start. Its card shows Available at start time until it becomes active.

Camera and Microphone

The first time you join, your browser may ask for permission to use your camera and microphone. Choose Allow. If you previously blocked access, open the site permissions beside the browser address bar and enable Camera and Microphone before reloading the meeting.

Close an Active Meeting

The organizer can click Close on the Meetings page or End meeting inside the call. Closing moves the meeting to History and prevents everyone from joining it again. Leaving or closing only your browser tab does not close the meeting for other participants.
