Getting Started

Welcome to SSH Bridge

SSH Bridge is a modern, web-based SSH client that lets you connect to and manage your servers from anywhere. This guide will help you get started in minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Visit the SSH Bridge app and click Register. Enter your name, email, and password. You can also sign in with Google if enabled by your administrator.

Step 2: Add Your First Host

After logging in, you'll see the Hosts panel. Click Add Host and enter your server details:

  • Label — A friendly name (e.g., "Production Server")
  • Hostname/IP — The server address
  • Port — SSH port (default: 22)
  • Username — Your SSH username
  • Auth Type — Password or SSH Key

Step 3: Connect

Double-click your host or choose SSH Connect to open an SSH terminal. SSH Bridge asks which workspace should contain the session, so you can keep Development, Production, and other environments separate. If you haven't saved credentials, you'll be prompted to enter them. You can optionally save them for future connections.

Step 4: Explore

Use the sidebar to access all features: Workspaces, SFTP file browser, port forwarding, snippets, team management, and more.
